Reading Quest uses the American Sign Language (ASL) alphabet and a few simple signs to help children learn how to read.  If you would like to explore this approach, here is an ASL alphabet for purchase at the American Society of Deaf Children.

We also invite you to check the ASL section of our compilation of favorite online resources.  It includes two youtube videos for learning the alphabet.  Also, check out this video of the ASL alphabet being sung- it's quite fast so perhaps learn your ABCs in ASL first!
