World Literacy Summit 2023 Oxford, England
Avery and Rayna were honored to represent Reading Quest and present at the 2023 World Literacy Summit in Oxford, England. It was an unforgettable experience to meet literacy educators and researchers from around the world who care deeply about bringing the science and joy of reading to children everywhere.
We were deeply moved by all of the kindness and generosity that fueled our trip. We would not have been able to make this trip if it hadn't been for the Santa Fe Community Foundation and an amazing group of donors. We shared, connected, learned and gathered many new ideas for our own work.
We were also deeply grateful to be able to enrich our experience by visiting the British Museum of Natural History, the Ashmolean Museum, The Bodleian Library and in particular, the Story Museum.
We are both excited to share what we’ve learned with our students and colleagues. Reading is the passport to pursuing your dreams and we are honored to be part of the group of people who are dedicated to making learning how to read accessible for all children.
Thank you to our wonderful community partners for donating generous Read-a-Thon prizes and thank you to everyone who participated in our first Reading Quest Read-a-Thon 2023! A total of 68,790 minutes were read by over 80 readers!”

Reading Quest & Santa Fe School for the Arts & Sciences joined forces for a Magical Dragon Halloween Parade!
"The facilitators truly demonstrated that joyful, engaged learning that occurs in person--and more importantly, true connection--*can* be achieved online/ in remote learning-- is a breakthrough experience and offering by Reading Quest! The passion, skillfulness, and *presence* of the training team was refreshing and raised the bar for what is possible in an online format. Brava!/Bravo! To be able to demonstrate that it is possible to connect, play, and share the "aliveness" many feel we have lost by communicating through screen was a significant gift. Thank you! -Local Teacher
