You provide information by contacting us or donating or making a payment to us via our Website, via email, by phone, by signing up for our newsletter, or by attending one of our events. Please note, Weebly websites (our website platform) also collects web IP addresses. Depending on how you provide your information, we will collect some or all of the following information when you contact us or attend one of our events:

Reading Quest does not sell your data, has not in the past, and is committed not to do so in the future. As it is in our legitimate interests to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, we use your personal data:

Where you donate or make a payment via our online portal, we will receive your name, email address and address when this is requested. We will use this information where it is in our legitimate interests in order to determine which events our donors receive sponsorship for.

The personal data provided when you contact us or attend one of our events is stored by Google Drive in the United States, and when applicable, in any one of our contact databases - Little Green Light, MailChimp, et al.
We will also share your personal data in emergencies, where we will share your personal data with the emergency services, to the extent necessary to protect your vital interests.
How long do we store your personal data?
We retain your information as follows:
If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your relevant personal contact information on our Google Drive, Little Green Light and Mail Chimp systems. If you wish to be removed from these at any time, you can contact us and we will fulfill this request.
If you make a donation or a payment, we store your relevant personal contact information in our donor/payment database. We do not store credit card information unless you are on a monthly payment/donation plan. If so, Reading Quest staff does not have immediate access to your payment method details, just an over view of the payments. The payment system stores the payment method details securely.
Reading Quest will keep your information on file for a reasonable time, unless otherwise informed or indicated to delete.
After you have terminated your use of Reading Quest services, we will store your information for record keeping purposes, as well as in an aggregated and anonymous format in order to use this data for statistical purposes to improve our services and in order to complete grant applications.
Your rights
You have certain rights in relation to the personal data we hold about you. Some of these only apply in certain circumstances.
